Jason Pacanowski Named Director of Men's Basketball Operations |

Jason Pacanowski (pronounced PACK-uh-NOW-ski) has been named Director of Men's Basketball Operations, Youngstown State Head Basketball Coach Jerry Slocum announced on Monday. Pacanowski joins the YSU staff after serving as a graduate assistant coach at Southern Illinois in 2007-08. "We are very excited to have Jason join our staff" Slocum said. "He comes from an outstanding program in Southern Illinois and has a lot of energy and enthusiasm for the game of basketball." Pacanowski responsibilities include team travel, film exchange and a variety of administrative duties. As a graduate assistant at SIU, Pacanowski broke down film, supervised workouts and handled a variety of administrative matters. As an undergraduate, Pacanowski served the Salukis as a team manager for four years under coaches Bruce Weber, Matt Painter and Chris Lowery. Pacanowski earned a bachelor's degree in physical education from Southern Illinois in 2006 and a master's degree in sports management from Southern Illinois in 2008. |
